Impact is Black Cat's new four-level ESO course that takes learners from A1.2 to B1.2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Impact combines a fun design with a variety of topics and activities that will get students actively involved both inside and outside the classroom. The series caters for diversity in the classroom and aims to provide students with the necessary building blocks for successful language acquisition.

The series places a strong emphasis on:

The Student's Book contains:
- 9 topic-based units plus a starter unit
- 9 grammar summary pages with contrastive exercises
- 4-5 culture lessons with traditional and contemporary themes
- 4-5 communication sections with a bank of useful phrases
- 4-5 Reading for Pleasure lessons based on extracts from graded readers
- 3-4 songs ranging from old favourites to more recent ones
- ESO 2, 3 and 4 also contain 3 CLIL lessons covering topics from history, science and geography
